We were all eagerly waiting for the first mobile compatible with Android, Google's open platform for mobile applications.
We first heard about it a month ago, but now it's shaping up. HTC, a Taiwanese phone manufacturer, took the initiative and presented the first prototype, the T-Mobile G1 (see the pictures below), last Tuesday in New York.
One of the main differences displayed on the T-Mobile G1 in comparison with the iPhone, in addition to working on an open-source platform, is its Amazon partnership for music download. Indeed, contrary to iTunes, Amazon will present a large catalog of MP3s with no DRM!
That's a really good news for a product that already makes every disappointed developer switch from the AppStore to Android.
So do you want to get your hands on this latest technological release? Or do you just want to see a Flash animation that gives you a foretaste of what the T-Mobile G1 will be like? It's all at this address.

was this close to getting a blackberry... might rethink it... waiting to see if it'll be available without a plan.. or how expensive the SFR one will be...
love the 3MP camera:-)
